FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (applies here only):

"How long have you worked on the project for?"

As of the time I'm writing this, it has been 3 years and 5 months since I first started the ZA3D Island of Sodor Project.

"What is this IoS based on?"

My own IoS route is primarily based on the 2014 Island of Sodor TV Series map made by Railway Consultant Sam Wilkinson. However, I am adding on from where he left off, using the maps that came out after 2014 with the desire to keep nearly everything canon and surreal as possible.

"Will "location or set" be on the route?"

Yes, 'location or set' will be on the route where I think best fits. No location and/or set shall be left behind!

"What will happen once the route is entirely done, like, 100% done?"

It will take many years to finally reach the full 100% for my IoS Project. After the route is fully complete, I may do seasonal versions. The route being made takes place during the spring/summer seasons. The autumn/winter version will follow afterwards.

"Which Trainz does this route work on?"

This route is made using Trainz 12. If you have literally any Trainz earlier than 12, this route will obviously not work. If you have any version of T:ANE or Trainz 19, the route will work at the cost that some assets might look weird, especially my custom buildings due to the fact I have no clue how to bake them.

"This route has assets from dead sites such as SI3D, The Sudrian Community, Sodor Island Routes, etc. What will you do regarding the assets that are obviously no longer obtainable publicly?"

Honestly, I don't know yet. I really want to replace some of them with buildings of my own in the future. As for the SI3D stuff, you see, SI3D is long gone and Workshops has taken over the route. Once Workshops is ready to re-release their IoS, I'm sure you'll be able to salvage the old stuff.

"Will the route include freelance locations and sets for filler?"

Of course! I like a little freelance from points A to B.

"Will you be making your own locomotives and rolling stock?"

Me specifically? No. Someone has the knowledge to do that. We must find a decent locomotive and rolling stock maker. It doesn't have to be perfect.

"What was the site's OG (original) name before it was called ZA3D? Any routes before the official one? What's the history of ZA3D?"

Back then, the site was just called Zachman Awesomeness II. The old site, zachmanawesomenessii.jimdofree.com was the first website. It launched sometime in early 2017 when the original IoS was first being made, going by "The Island of Sodor Customized Redux Project". Only five releases were made from the old one before something happened (rather not explain) and then the project restarted going by the name of "The Island of Sodor Customized Redux Project V2". I've worked on it for a long time and it's the only route I was working on until I started making dioramas. Upon hearing about SI3D shut down, things were crazy. That was when I stepped up and made the Zachman Awesomeness Forums. A year or two passed until I decided to rename my site. So I renamed my site to Zachman Awesomeness 3D (ZA3D for short). "The Island of Sodor Customized Redux Project V2" was also renamed to accommodate for the site's name change. The route is now simply called "The ZA3D Island of Sodor Project" (The ZA3D IoS Project). Big things happened to the site after that. Upon making the ZA3D Discord Server, I knew that the ZA3D Proboards had to go, but I couldn't decide if I should keep it or trash it. According to a poll, you wanted the Proboards to be trashed. As such, it has been trashed. After a while the Discord server was removed too.

"HOW DO I DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THIS ROUTE?"
Just download the route by clicking the link at the end of the page.. Just open the CDP included in the download to install it into your Content Manager. Once you start Trainz, your copy should pop up and you will be ready to explore!

"MY COPY IS NOT IN MY ROUTES LIST. IT IS CORRUPT AND/OR IT HAS MISSING FILES. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?"
The route only works with Trainz 12 Build 46957 and onwards. If you have an older Trainz program, such as TS09 or TS10, it won't work. You will get the best experience of this route if you have TANE or TRS19, as the graphics in them are far more superior than those of TS12's. Either that, or you need to download all the dependencies required from various sources.

"SOME OF YOUR CUSTOM ASSETS ARE TOO BRIGHT. WHY?"
The custom assets I make are not baked, since I don't know how to properly bake models. If anyone can either teach me or send me baked versions, I will be more than happy to thank them for it.

"WHERE DO I GET THE DEPENDENCIES FOR YOUR ROUTE?"
Make sure you've downloaded everything from SI3D before the shutdown
that took place on January 27, 2018, one year after Kellsthorpe's release. This includes the entire project and it's dependencies. You will also need to download all the routes from the 2006 SI3D Classics Jimdo Website. If you don't download everything from SI3D before January 27, 2018, you will have a really big problem. Other content that appear come from Sudrian Community, Sodor Island Routes, and many others, so make sure you had downloaded everything from there as well.

"WHY IS THERE A README INCLUDED IN EACH DOWNLOAD?"
This readme is included due to the fact that some people have the case
of technical difficulties, and if it happens, this readme will hopefully cover up any wounds Trainz decides to make. So, I've made this readme. And you are reading it right now, as a matter of fact. See what I did there?

Well, I suppose that's it!

Once you downloaded the route, have fun! Make sure to give credit to ZA3D for the route and the custom (bright and not baked) scenery assets that appear in this project!
